Adore Beauty’s most specific documented strength: a buyer who has shopped with them for ten years writes of an experience that is “genuinely 10/10 in every aspect” — and specifically calls out that “Adore Beauty’s customer service is exceptional” as the reason. A second buyer who “always look forward to the Tim Tam’s in the box” captures the small detail that built long-term loyalty — a piece of Australian chocolate in every order that became the brand’s signature customer-delight moment. With 11,429 reviews at 4.83 stars on ResellerRatings and the highest customer service satisfaction score among leading Australian makeup retailers per Statista’s 2024 Customer Satisfaction Awards, Adore Beauty holds genuine market leadership in online beauty retail. The documented honest caveat: a courier switch away from Australia Post in 2025 has specifically and repeatedly frustrated long-term regional buyers — “deliveries were quick via Aust Post” is the specific before-and-after the loyal base documents — and an order placed in January 2025 was “still marked as awaiting fulfilment” per a recent Trustpilot account.

✅ Tim Tam with every order — a documented brand signature that “the kids fight me for” per a 10-year buyer. A small detail that creates genuine affection and repeat purchase behaviour.

✅ Wide product range praised across editorial and buyer accounts — “the range of products is great” is consistent across even mixed-experience reviews, meaning the catalog breadth is universally acknowledged.

✅ Responsive individual customer service team members praised by name — Denise, Jona, Kim, and Jonalyn are all named in Trustpilot accounts as delivering exceptional personal service when problems arose. Named-individual service praise is the strongest possible customer service signal.

✅ Adore Beauty podcast and community content creates genuine engagement beyond the transaction — the brand’s content investment is documented as a loyalty driver beyond product range

✅ Easy website navigation and detailed product descriptions — “the website is easy to navigate, it explains in detail what you need to know about the product” per a buyer, meaningful in a category where ingredient transparency matters

✅ Loyalty programme rewards consistent purchasing — reviewed as a genuine value-add that builds switching cost for long-term buyers

❌ Courier switch away from Australia Post in 2025 has specifically disrupted regional buyer delivery — “deliveries were quick via Aust Post” compared to the courier service “which does not suit me” for parcel locker delivery. The Australia Post parcel locker network was specifically cited as the lost feature.

❌ Order marked as awaiting fulfilment in January 2025 still unresolved — a specific Trustpilot account documents a January 2025 order still showing “awaiting fulfilment” discovered only when the buyer was chasing a delayed 2025 order. A severe fulfilment failure.

❌ Gift sets ordered in September with no stock — a buyer who “purchased 2 gift sets on 01 September, received order confirmation but no shipping” was told eight days later there was no stock, offered a £30 voucher and described the experience as “diabolical and dishonest”

❌ Discount codes documented as not working on the website — “codes mentioned on their website” not functioning at checkout is a documented buyer frustration that undermines promotional credibility

❌ Returns process lets the brand down — “the range of products is great, but the returns process really lets them down” per a Trustpilot buyer who accidentally ordered the wrong item and found the return process difficult

❌ Single gift card limit per online purchase — “only use 1 gift card per online purchase so very frustrating” for a buyer who purchased two $20 gift cards for a $50 product and could only use one

Adore Beauty’s catalog spans luxury skincare, mass-market staples, makeup, hair care, body, and fragrance — across a breadth that competes with Sephora globally while serving the Australian market specifically with local brand representation. The website’s product descriptions are specifically praised for ingredient transparency and detail — relevant in a beauty market where buyer sophistication has increased and ingredient knowledge drives purchase decisions. The range breadth means buyers can consolidate beauty spending in one place rather than across multiple retailers.

The 4.83 ResellerRatings score and the named-individual Trustpilot praises represent a customer service foundation that is genuinely strong. Denise, Jonalyn, Kim, and Jona appear in separate buyer accounts as specific people who resolved problems — lost packages, delayed orders, wrong items — efficiently and professionally. This is the customer service the brand built its loyal decade-long buyer base on. What the 2025 Trustpilot accounts document is increasing friction in reaching those human service team members — AI chatbots routing enquiries that require human judgment, and longer response times before resolution.

The Courier Switch — Why It Matters to Loyal Buyers

The switch from Australia Post to courier services in 2025 is the single most documented source of buyer frustration in recent reviews. The specific loss is the Australia Post parcel locker network — for regional buyers and buyers in dense apartment buildings, the parcel locker system allowed secure delivery to a pickup point rather than requiring in-person receipt. Courier services that instead attempt delivery to a residential address, leave no card, or route to distant hubs create a logistics experience that is materially worse for these buyers. The brand’s response on Trustpilot acknowledges the feedback but doesn’t document a resolution.

Adore Beauty operates a small number of physical stores, and the in-store experience generates notably different feedback from the online one. The in-store buyer who “could not care less” about the customer’s needs represents the opposite experience from the online service team members praised by name — suggesting that the physical retail execution hasn’t yet matched the digital service standard the brand built its reputation on.
